These amphipods are a great food option if you have larger, more picky fish. I have a fully grown radiant wrasse who wouldn't eat anything that wasn't alive. Using these amphipods, I was able to train/transition the wrasse to eat frozen mysis and brine. GREAT choice for picky predator fish.

Arrived very alive ,didn't see hardly anything dead in the batch. Fish went crazy,had to shut off lights so they could get into their hiding spots.
No DOAS even after my first order took 5 days to get here to Buffalo when we had 6 degree Fahrenheit highs with-14 wins chill... It came to my post office then was for some reason supposed to another line 90 Mike's away then I had to wait for a next day they started moving after about 7 minutes floating in warm water.... I always throw in a bit of sugar if I can find it if not I throw a tiny few pieces of nori in there so there all in big chunks attached to the algae... Mostly adults cut plenty of hatch's so be careful to use a sieve that has multiple sizes..... The ones these guys make u own and they are great too

I received my order of amphipods, along with some other livestock. This is not the first time I have ordered from Aquaculture Nursery Farms. I have always been satisfied with what I received, and this order was no different. The 500 amphipods were all healthy and very much alive. I would expect to have at least a very small percentage of dead amphipods out of 500, but I could not find a single dead one in the bunch. This included two that were stuck in the neck of the bag above where it was sealed! As usual, everything was high quality and I most certainly will not hesitate to order again.

I got these to supplement mysis shrimp for my cuttlefish, since these are much cheaper and easier to keep alive in my opinion. The cuttlefish eat them up and are doing well so far. Very fun to watch.

Unfortunately FedEx was a day late so it came after 1:30 p.m. probably about 76 hours after they shipped it and every single one was alive it was about 20° outside it was wrapped very very well in a foil bubble wrap which was double wrapped and sealed and closed styrofoam on top sealed with the words this side up written on the top which it was actually delivered that side up every pod was alive and I am waiting currently until night time to put them in my aquarium at first I followed them to get them moving and then I added half of my aquarium water and I'm floating them with a little rigid air tubing in a gallon picture of water every single one is alive thank you very much again.. my second order and never will order anywhere else again knitting these weren't wild . NOT ONE INDY OTHER THEN AMPHIPODS not the iso and cope these are those little guys that you see crawling around your great plugs cleaning your rocks of algae and detritus. They are benathic I don't know if that's the correct spelling meaning they hover on the rocks services they don't swim freely only when the babies hatch very very many of the anthropods had egg sex attached to the chest area to their like a little orange ball in their what we would say chest area.. when those hatch they become tiny juveniles and are free swimming for a midnight snack if you want a mandarin goby these are perfect because the gobies like to grab the amphipods off of the rock surface especially between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. when the lights are starting to go down thank you again it's nice to know I have a consistent source of clean non-parasitic pods for my aquarium at a very very reasonable price I was not given any or promised anything for this review this is just because it's nice to have a good business person with good morals nowadays it's hard to find that especially when people could price couch things especially with this pandemic going on..

Response: Yes Mandarin Goby does eat Amphipods as their natural prey, better than Tisbe Pods. The Mandarin fish eats the juvenile stages of the Amphipods. The adults are able to breed and multiply in your aquarium. For a continuous supply of live prey for your Mandarin.

I love the fact that these amphipods are aqua-cultured and not wild caught. I bought wild caught amphipods one time and the parasites infested my seahorses and the pathogens destroyed my tank. I had to sterilize my tank and recycle it. It was a nightmare and I can hardly believe my seahorses survived all that. So now I only buy aqua-cultured amphipods. I am so happy I found Rusalty.com!
