Baby Brine Shrimp Kit instruction and Tips

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

Saltwater mixed thoroughly and aerated overnight. Can use old water from your existing aquarium.

Salinity between 1.018- 1.026

Set up a 5 – 10 gallon container. The larger your culture vessel the longer time between water changes.

Place air line in one corner of container for oxygen and water movement. Shrimp need water movement so the food remains suspended and they can filter the nutrients from the water column.

Acclimate baby shrimp by floating the bag until temperature has equalized, then introduce shrimp to your culture vessel.

Feed “Roti Food” (provided) once or twice daily, depending on how fast your shrimps clear the water.

IMPORTANT: Over feeding can foul your culture just like our aquariums. Since shrimp are filter feeders and are small, you won’t see them eating when they filter the water, but you will know when they are finished with their food when your water clears.

Do water changes once or twice a week. Use your judgment.

PRACTICAL METHOD FOR WATER CHANGES WHEN CULTURING ZOOPLANKTON:

Use the 120um sieve (provided) to run your waste water through when doing water change. This will ensure that you capture all the baby shrimp so you don’t lose them, then simply place shrimp back into culture vessel.

Watch your shrimp grow to adulthood!
