This gives the pods a chance to orientate themselves and see the danger that the fish present. As soon as the fish like Mandarin Seahorses see these live amphipods go into the tank they will go into a feeding frenzy.
This bag comes with live marine macro algae. It’s food for the Pods during transport. The saltwater that they’re in is purified & can be directly added to your aquarium. It contains no phosphates, nitrates, or pathogens. You may notice a slight discoloration in the water. This is due to the live phytoplankton that is in the water. Please don’t be alarmed at the site of what looks like dead shrimp bodies . These are just the empty shells. Healthy amphipods sometimes molt. The shell looks exactly like a replica of a live shrimp. Get some Mangroves to provide a healthy habitat for Amphipods to set up breeding colonies and thrive in your reef tank aquarium.
