Most predators don't mess with horseshoe crabs because it has a hard shell and spikes and it's tail that it whips around when attacked. Just like lobster out on the reef. Most fish don't mess with lobsters. About the only predator that will eat a lobster is a large octopus and a large grouper that can swallow it whole. Lobster had many defensive spikes also like the horseshoe crab. In the wild lobsters partner up with eels and live in the same den, so the eel becomes friends with the lobster. Kind of like when you see small shrimp living together with small digger fish that normally would be a meal for the fish.
Another animal to consider that is a good cleaner that your zebra eel won't bother is a Sea Urchin.
Horseshoe crabs are reef safe and non aggressive towards other tank mates.

Horseshoe Crabs
All I have to say is my wife and kids are in absolute awe. They cannot believe we have horseshoe crabs in our personal home aquarium. They're truly fascinating to watch and very active. Only downside was, the packaging. One of them must have pierced both shipping bags, because the bottom of the box was soaked and there was barely any water left in the bags. They all made it safely into the display tank though!

Larger than Expected and Healthy
I added one to my order on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! It arrived healthy and was larger than the picture online - about the size of a silver dollar. He swam off immediately after acclimation and is suddenly one of my most interesting reef tank inhabitants!

Love our Horseshoe Crabs!
We have been extremely pleased with our Horseshoe Crabs. They arrived nicely packaged and very healthy. I grew up on the gulf coast watching these amazing alien-like creatures roam the beaches and now it's so much fun to have them in our home aquarium to enjoy. Excellent service and quality!
